Ghent University is looking for high-achieving students to apply for the International PhD Scholarships in Childhood Sustainability. The educational prize is intended for outstanding candidates interested in pursuing a PhD degree during the academic year 2022/2023.
In a unique sense, Ghent University considers itself a pluralist university. It is one of Belgium’s major universities and a top 100 university. It carries out in-depth study in a variety of scientific fields. It is the first European university in South Korea’s Songdo Global University Campus.
The Department of Communication Sciences is seeking a full-time PhD student to work on the project “Sustainability from Childhood.” The efficacy of communication tactics aimed at children and teenagers in promoting long-term, healthy attitudes and behaviors! Prof. dr. Dieneke Van de Sompel and Prof. dr. dr. Liselot Hudders will supervise this four-year initiative. The initiative is founded on the idea that children acquire long-term (and healthy) attitudes and behaviors. If one want to respond, it is best to reach out to kids as early as possible through communication initiatives. On the one hand, children and young people are an important primary (present and future) target group, but they are also a substantial secondary target group (for example, they are a large part of the military).
