    Qualifications for Jail Officer I

    To qualify for the position, you need to meet these qualifications:

    1. Citizenship: Must be a Filipino citizen.
    2. Character: Must have good moral character.
    3. Education: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
    4. Eligibility: Must have relevant eligibility, such as:
      • CSE-Professional, RA 1080, Penology Officer Exam
      • Honor Graduate (PD 907) or MARINA eligibility
    5. Legal Record: Must not have been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude.
    6. Employment History: Must not have been dishonorably discharged or dismissed from any previous job.
    7. Age Requirement: Must be between 21 and 30 years old.
    8. Height Requirement: At least 1.57 meters for males and 1.52 meters for females.
    9. Physical Fitness: Must be physically and mentally fit for rigorous training.
    10. Tattoos: Tattoos are not allowed.

    Salary and Benefits of a Jail Officer I

    As a Jail Officer I, you’ll receive:

    • Total monthly salary of PHP 37,448
    • Monthly base pay of PHP 29,668 (Salary Grade 10)
    • Allowances, medical and dental benefits, and longevity pay
    • Hazard pay of PHP 540 per month
