Step 1: Basic Airborne Course
This is the first step for soldiers to learn how to jump from planes and be ready for airborne missions.
Step 2: Special Forces Combat Qualification Course (SFCQC)
It is a 20-week training program that teaches advanced combat skills.
It has six parts:
- Individual Combat Skills Training: Learning basic combat techniques.
- Internal Security Operations: Training for handling local security threats.
- Team and Section Training: Learning to work as a team.
- Combat Ground Operations: Practicing fighting on the ground.
- Combat Maneuver Exercises: Doing drills to improve movement in battle.
- Test Mission: A practice mission to see how ready the soldiers are.
Step 3: Special Forces Assessment and Qualification System (SFAS)
This is a tough two-week course that tests the soldiers’ physical and mental toughness, making sure they are ready for Special Forces missions.
Step 4: Special Forces Operations Course
It is an eight-month course where soldiers learn everything about Special Forces operations and special missions, like unconventional warfare.
Optional Step: Advanced Training
Once they finish the basic training, soldiers can choose extra courses to specialize in certain areas, such as:
- Air Assaults
- Anti-Guerilla Operations
- Close Quarter Combat (fighting at close range)
- Counter-Insurgency (fighting rebels)
- Counter-Intelligence (dealing with enemy spies)
- Counter-Terrorism
- Hostage Rescue
- Jungle Warfare
- Reconnaissance Missions (gathering information behind enemy lines)
These extra courses help soldiers focus on special skills for different missions.
